Bethany’s Maternity Session Near Comet

I recently had the pleasure of photographing Bethany’s maternity session here on our property, just outside Comet in Central Queensland. One of the things I love about offering maternity photography near Comet is having so many beautiful locations right here at home.

Beautiful Afternoon Light on the Property

We have a lovely section of native scrub that I often use for portraits. It’s private, peaceful and has some beautiful pockets of light filtering through the trees.

The light was particularly lovely for Bethany’s session. That soft, warm afternoon glow is something I always look for when photographing outdoors, and it worked beautifully with the surroundings.

I enjoy working with natural light and finding locations where everything comes together without needing an elaborate setup. Sometimes it’s simply a matter of choosing the right spot and waiting for the light to be just right.

Bethany’s Maternity Portraits

Bethany looked absolutely beautiful, and she was such a pleasure to photograph.

For maternity portraits, I like to give direction with posing and positioning so the photographs are flattering and thoughtfully composed. I pay particular attention to the light, the shape of the portrait and all those little details that can make a difference to the finished image.

We made the most of the afternoon light and created a lovely collection of portraits celebrating this stage of Bethany’s life.
